Project Overview
ATEB Cleaning Services provided nightly cleaning and sanitization of two separate temporary restroom trailers, one for men and one for women, each with its own entrance and facilities, in support of a general contractor managing the renovation of the Target store at 330 Turnpike Road (Route 9) in Westborough, Massachusetts. ATEB’s services were provided in support of the general contractor, not under a direct contract with Target. The temporary restroom trailers provided restroom access for Target customers and employees while the store’s permanent facilities were undergoing renovation.
Service ran seven nights a week for 31 nights, from May 11 through June 10, 2026. Cleaning took place after the store closed at 10:00 PM, with both trailers ready before 5:00 AM.
Cleaning Requirements
Temporary restrooms at an operating store have to be clean and stocked every morning, with no gap in service. The assignment called for:
- Nightly sanitation: cleaning and sanitizing both trailers seven nights a week
- A fixed deadline: work completed after closing and before 5:00 AM
- Controlled access: an assigned key used to enter and secure the trailers each night
- Supply coordination: toilet paper, paper towels, hand soap, trash liners and feminine hygiene disposal bags monitored and coordinated with the project team
- Issue reporting: anything beyond routine cleaning reported to the general contractor’s team
Our Approach
ATEB set up a recurring after-hours schedule, with a cleaning technician assigned to the project and ATEB’s operations management as the contact for scheduling and communication. Each night the technician entered the trailers with the assigned key, completed the cleaning and sanitization, and secured both trailers.
Before service began, ATEB confirmed with the project engineer which supplies fit the trailers’ dispensers. On the first night, the team found the trailer provider had already stocked some paper and soap products. ATEB reported this and adjusted the plan, keeping only the supplies that were still needed. Throughout the project, ATEB tracked supply levels and reported shortages with specific counts, so the project team could decide whether ATEB or the trailer provider would restock.
When the trailers’ wastewater holding tank needed emptying, ATEB reported it to the project team for the appropriate provider to service. ATEB’s role was to observe and report these conditions, not to pump tanks or make repairs.
Results and Contractor Feedback
- 31 nights of after-hours cleaning and sanitization, May 11 through June 10, 2026
- Both trailers ready before 5:00 AM for the duration of the service
- Supply and maintenance issues reported to the project team as they came up
When the store’s permanent restrooms reopened, the project engineer asked for one final cleaning before the trailers were removed. ATEB completed it and secured the trailers as requested.
“Thanks for being great to work with, I really appreciate it.”

Why This Matters for Renovations and Construction Projects
Temporary facilities are often essential when a building stays open during construction. Keeping them usable takes reliable overnight scheduling, controlled access, and clear communication about supplies and maintenance. This project shows ATEB supporting a general contractor in an operating retail store on exactly those terms.
ATEB provides post-construction cleaning, janitorial services and after-hours commercial cleaning in Westborough and throughout Worcester County, with service available evenings, overnight and weekends.
