Inside a Milford Plant: How Cleaning Works Around Production

A manufacturing building isn’t cleaned as one space. Each zone has its own schedule, its own tasks and, in some areas, its own procedures. Here’s how ATEB lays out a program for a typical plant.

Milford Commercial Cleaning FAQ

Choose the questions closest to your role.

Plant and operations managers

Can you clean our plant without interrupting production?

Yes. Cleaning is scheduled around your production: after close, between shifts or on weekends, with areas sequenced so lines and work cells are cleaned while they’re down. Badges, keys, alarm procedures and authorized entry and exit arrangements are set up before service begins. See manufacturing and warehouse cleaning.

How do you handle quality labs, test areas and controlled spaces inside a plant?

Routine production-area cleaning covers floors, trash, break and locker rooms, restrooms and shared surfaces on a set schedule. Labs, test areas and controlled spaces are handled separately: ATEB has hands-on experience cleaning laboratory, testing, production, and cleanroom environments, following facility-approved procedures and site-specific requirements. In those areas we use the products, sequence and entry steps your facility specifies, and equipment and product-contact surfaces are included only where the facility’s approved procedures and agreed cleaning scope assign that work to ATEB.

Do you clean shipping docks, warehouse floors and storage areas?

Yes. Shipping and receiving docks, staging areas, storage aisles and warehouse floors can be part of a plant program, scheduled around your shipping times. Large floor areas can be machine scrubbed on a set schedule, and periodic floor care is added to the program calendar.

Practice, office and school managers

What’s the difference between janitorial service and office cleaning, and which do we need?

Office cleaning usually means routine cleaning of workspaces, kitchens and restrooms. Janitorial service is broader: a recurring program that can also cover production support areas, locker rooms, restocking, floor maintenance and periodic work across a whole facility. Many Milford facilities need some of each, and the walkthrough settles the scope. Read our guide: Office Cleaning vs. Janitorial Services.

Do you clean medical and dental offices?

Yes. Practices are cleaned after patient hours, or around your schedule, using the procedures and products your practice approves. Work is planned to prevent cross-contamination: color-coded tools and cloths are assigned to each area, so those used in restrooms are kept separate from those used in exam and treatment rooms, and high-touch surfaces in waiting, exam and treatment rooms are disinfected. Regulated medical waste, sharps and clinical equipment remain with your staff. The exact cleaning responsibilities, infection-prevention procedures and equipment boundaries are established with each practice before service begins.

Can you clean schools, child care centers and training facilities?

Yes. ATEB provides recurring janitorial after students leave, covering classrooms, corridors, restrooms, gyms and offices. Periodic project work, such as floor stripping and refinishing, carpet extraction, windows and deep cleaning, is scheduled during school breaks and summer vacation. ATEB also completed two-phase post-construction cleaning for a 500,000 sq ft school expansion in Tyngsborough, MA. See educational facility cleaning.

Owners and procurement

How do you serve Milford and the Souhegan Valley?

From our office at 184 Main Street, Unit 208, in Nashua, about 23 to 26 minutes away, along with nearby Amherst. One ATEB representative coordinates your scope, schedule and requests. You can reach the office at (603) 324-9156.

What does commercial cleaning cost in Milford?

Pricing is based on the scope: square footage, the areas included, service frequency and any periodic work. Areas with specialized procedures and multi-shift schedules are scoped individually. After the walkthrough you receive a written proposal. See our guide to commercial cleaning costs.

What’s included in a recurring program, and what’s scheduled separately?

A recurring program covers routine tasks on every visit: trash and recycling, restrooms, break rooms, dusting, high-touch surfaces and floor care. Periodic work, such as floor stripping and refinishing, carpet extraction, high dusting and windows, is scheduled into the program calendar and listed in your proposal, while one-time projects such as post-construction cleaning are quoted separately. Paper products, soap and cleaning materials are supplied by you, or ATEB purchases and supplies them at cost.

We’re unhappy with our current cleaning company. How does switching work?

It starts with a walkthrough and a written scope and proposal. ATEB then coordinates the start date with your current contract’s notice period, staffing availability and access requirements, to avoid a gap in service. Once service begins, supervisors inspect against the written scope. When an issue is identified, the corrective action is documented, followed through to completion, and reviewed during subsequent inspections. Clients are informed when appropriate.
