Scheduled Around Your Workday
Offices need cleaning that happens when the space is empty, or quietly while it is in use. ATEB sets a cleaning window for each area, after hours, early in the morning or through day porter visits, and writes those windows into your scope.
Example schedule. Cleaning windows, frequencies and responsibilities are established with each facility.

Office Cleaning Questions
Scope and frequency
What does office cleaning include?
Offices and workstations, restrooms, break rooms and kitchens, conference rooms, lobbies and common areas, floors and glass, plus detail work such as baseboards and high dusting. Which tasks are done, and how often, is set at the walkthrough and written into the approved scope.
How often should an office be cleaned?
Frequency is set area by area at the walkthrough, based on how many people use the space and how heavily. High-use areas such as restrooms, break rooms and entrances can be scheduled more often than private offices.
Is office cleaning the same as commercial cleaning?
Office cleaning is one kind of commercial cleaning. Commercial cleaning covers all non-residential buildings and one-time work such as post-construction cleaning; office cleaning is the recurring cleaning of workspaces, restrooms, break rooms and common areas in an office.
Cost and getting started
How much does office cleaning cost?
It depends on square footage, frequency, scope, day porter hours and access windows. We quote after a walkthrough, with a written scope. See what office cleaning costs per square foot.
How do we get started?
Schedule a walkthrough. Afterwards you receive a proposed written cleaning scope, a service quotation and start-date coordination. Schedule a walkthrough
How long does it take to clean an office?
It depends on square footage, layout, the number of restrooms and kitchens, and the scope. At the walkthrough we size the team and the cleaning window so the work fits the hours your office is empty.
Can you take over from our current cleaning company?
Yes. We walk the office, write the scope, and time the start date around your current contract so there is no gap in service.
Building types
Can you clean a multi-tenant office building?
Yes. We can clean common areas for the property manager, tenant suites under their own agreements, or both, with responsibilities written into the scope.
Do you clean bank branches and medical offices?
Yes. Bank branches and credit unions are cleaned under access and security procedures agreed in writing, and medical and dental offices within a scope the practice approves. See bank and credit union cleaning and healthcare and medical cleaning.
Every account
Are your cleaning teams background-checked?
Yes. ATEB runs background checks on its cleaning staff for every type of job, and access to your offices is set up under procedures agreed in writing before service begins.
Can you clean while our office is open?
Yes. A day porter can keep restrooms, break rooms, entrances and high-touch surfaces in order during business hours, alongside after-hours cleaning. See day porter services.
Who supplies paper products, soap and cleaning materials?
Paper products, soap and cleaning materials are supplied by you, or ATEB purchases and supplies them at cost. The arrangement you choose is written into your scope.
What happens if something is missed?
When an issue is identified, ATEB reviews it, takes appropriate corrective action, and documents the resolution. The issue is followed through to completion and reviewed during subsequent inspections. We communicate with the client as appropriate to the issue and agreed service procedures.
Are you insured?
Yes. ATEB Cleaning Services is fully insured and bonded, with Commercial General Liability and Workers’ Compensation coverage.
What Affects the Cost of Office Cleaning
Office cleaning is quoted after a walkthrough, not from a flat rate. The main factors are square footage and layout, how often each area is cleaned, the scope (tasks, floor types, restrooms and kitchens), day porter hours, cleaning windows and access arrangements, and periodic work such as floor care.
When you compare quotes, compare the written scopes: which areas are included and how often, whether paper, soap and liners are included, how periodic work is scheduled and priced, how problems are reported, and what insurance the company carries.
